Stéphanie Visconti began training with Everett Smith in 2011 with the Canadian National Tap Dance Team for the International Dance Organization World Tap Dance Championships. She received a silver medal in the junior formations category, a 5th place in the junior female solos category, as well as a 5th place in the junior duos category that year and a 7th place in the junior female solos category the following year. Ms. Visconti continued to study with Everett for years to follow and performed as a guest artist in a number of his Bringing Tap Back shows.
In Toronto, Stéphanie was a featured dancer in the 2014 Big Ticket Summer Concert at the Molson Canadian Amphitheatre as one of Family Channel’s LEGO Friends Dance Crew members. Cody Simpson, Sabrina Carpenter, and Megan Nicole performed at the concert as well. Ms. Visconti was also a member of Ryan Foley’s adv/pro Tap Dance Company and of the Dance Inc. Competitive Company.
In the summer of 2015, Stéphanie moved to NYC to attend the prestigious American Musical and Dramatic Academy where she completed the Musical Theatre Conservatory Program. After her graduation in October of 2016, she performed in productions at renowned American regional theatres, such as in Mamma Mia at the Arts Center of Coastal Carolina in Hilton Head, SC and in Mame at Riverside Theatre in Vero Beach, FL. In NYC, Ms. Visconti was a guest artist in the Broadway’s Future Songbook Series at Lincoln Center, was featured in an independent short film entitled Dance ‘til Dawn, and performed in the NY Musical Theatre Festival. She also performed regularly at the West End Lounge with Let’s Broadway Cabaret Series and danced in various NYC showcases with Denise Caston’s Tap Dance Company.
Stéphanie Visconti is happy to be back in home in Toronto after a successful year of work in the US. She is very excited to explore Canadian performing arts opportunities this year!
